What came back

Done - Onboarding email rewrite shipped Tuesday: first email open rate up from 31% to 44% in the first few days (small sample so far) - Quarterly review with CS team done, they want better visibility into at-risk accounts, could turn into a small project In progress - Export feature: backend done, frontend about 2 days out - Scoping the at-risk accounts project next week Blocked - Lost most of Wednesday to a staging deploy issue (expired cert), resolved but ate a day Heads up: I'm off Friday.

When to use it

Use this when you know what you did and cannot face writing it up again. Brain-dump the week in whatever order it comes out and you get it shaped for the audience and format you pick. Same material reads very differently going to your manager, your team, or a stakeholder group.

Common questions

Should I include the things that went badly?
Yes, and the example above keeps the lost day on the expired certificate. A status update that only reports wins stops being believed, and a problem raised early reads as competence while the same problem surfacing later reads as a surprise.
What do the three formats do?
Did / In progress / Blocked is the standard standup shape and the easiest to scan. Bullets are looser, for a weekly note. A paragraph suits an update that goes to people who are not tracking your work day to day and need the narrative rather than the list.
Does the audience setting matter much?
More than the format does. A manager wants risks and decisions they need to make. A team wants what affects their own work. Stakeholders want outcomes and dates, not the detail of how the week went.
Is it free?
You can run it three times a day with no account. Signing in gives you renewing monthly credits, and this tool costs one credit per run with the one-click refinements included.
