Bio
Landscape gardener in Sheffield, which means I'm outside in all weathers and permanently a bit muddy. Cornwall originally. I cook a lot of Italian food, badly at first and genuinely well now, if you want to test that claim I won't stop you. On a pub quiz team that has never once won anything. Not once. There's a dog called Biscuit, a lurcher, who is better looking than me in every photo we're both in. I read a lot of history books, which I know is not a personality on its own. Also learning the mandolin, poorly, so if you hear something that sounds like a cat in distress that's probably me. Looking for someone to actually go places with. Would rather do a long walk and a pub than stand around in a bar. Want something serious eventually, no rush getting there.
Opening messages
- Biscuit and I have a long walk and pub policy for first meetups, does [their photo/detail] mean you're a walker or would I be dragging you round a muddy field against your will?
- You strike me as someone who'd actually have an opinion on [something from their profile], go on then, convince me.
- Genuine question since I'm still learning: mandolin or ukulele, which one is more embarrassing to be bad at in public?
- I've lost more pub quizzes than I can count at this point, tell me your team's most humiliating round and I'll try to top it.
- [Detail from their profile] has me curious, what's the story there?
When to use it
Use this when your profile reads like a list of hobbies and you know it. It works from real specifics about you and returns a bio that sounds like a person, plus opening messages that reference something rather than saying hey.
