- Your story and the facts
- Started in 2019 by two of us, Ravi and Marguerite. Ravi spent 11 years as a quality manager in food manufacturing and got tired of losing every February to audit paperwork. Marguerite is the engineer. We are 7 people now, all remote, mostly in the north of England. About 30 customers, all food manufacturers. We do not take investment and we are profitable. We answer support ourselves, there is no ticket queue. We turned down a big retail chain last year because we could not have served them properly.

About page
Ravi spent 11 years as a quality manager in food manufacturing, and most of that time, February meant one thing: audit paperwork. Chasing signatures, hunting for the right version of a document, re-entering the same data into three different spreadsheets. He got tired of it, so in 2019 he teamed up with Marguerite, the engineer, and they started building something better. We are 7 people now, all remote, mostly based in the north of England. About 30 food manufacturers use what we build, ranging from a 40-person operation to a 400-person one. We stayed small on purpose. We do not take investment, we are profitable, and that means we get to make decisions based on what our customers actually need rather than what looks good to someone else's spreadsheet. When you contact support, you get one of us, not a ticket queue. We think that matters more than it sounds like it should, especially when something breaks in the middle of an audit. Last year we turned down a large retail chain. It would have been a big contract, but we knew we could not have supported them properly without stretching thin on the customers already counting on us. We would rather stay honest about what 7 people can do well than grow past the point of being useful.
When to use it
Use this when your About page still says "we are a passionate team dedicated to excellence". It works from your actual story and facts, and it is one of the few pages where specifics about how you started and how you work do more than polish.
